Piping Superintendent - Gas and Oil, Portland, TX

The Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility began early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility of its kind in the United States.

Job Summary:

The Piping Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the piping discipline. This role oversees piping craft workers, subordinate supervisors, and others as assigned. It ensures that construction performance meets specifications and stays within schedule and budget. The candidate must be open to working a flexible schedule, including night shifts, split shifts, or day shifts as needed.

Contract duration: 1 year.

Schedule: Flexible shifts including day, night, or split.

Payment rate: $51.40- $ 66.71 + Benefits

Portland, TX: Portland, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise piping operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost compliance

  • Lead and train craft workers and piping supervisors

  • Coordinate materials, subcontractors, and construction testing

  • Report weekly progress and plan manpower and equipment needs

Requirements:

  • 9–12 years of experience in industrial construction or 5–8 years with a relevant degree

  • Prior experience leading piping work in LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, or power projects

  • Familiar with pneumatic and hydro testing; proficient with Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, Navisworks

  • Able to perform physical field inspections using PPE under challenging site conditions
