Management & Technology Consultancy (MTC) is Stantec’s industry leading management consulting team, recognized in providing asset and organizational performance, financial, economic, funding, planning, as well as business and operational technology consulting services to communities and utilities across North America. The MTC team is also responsible for the business development and delivery of innovative digital related work and consulting services embedded in broader engineering/infrastructure projects and stand-alone projects. We are seeking a candidate in the Pacific to provide leadership, delivery of strategic projects, and to drive growth of our asset management service offerings across multiple industries.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support business development for the MTC team and support business development across the US. Lead business development strategies/activities for asset management services.

  • Support the asset management service offerings and expansion in North America.

  • Participate in developing, updating, and executing asset management, MTC, and company policies and procedures.

  • Engage with existing and future clients to understand their needs and problems and apply asset management solutions, solution history, and personal solution history.

  • Lead the North America facilities asset management service offering.

  • Lead the delivery of strategic asset management and organization performance projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality services on time and within budget.

  • Work closely with national leadership to identify and create/incubate opportunities for this offering across the national and across multiple business lines.

  • Recruit, mentor, train, develop, and deploy technical talent.

  • Working dynamically with project teams to identify best-fit solutions to business, strategic, infrastructure, and operational issues, that involve elevated risk/complexity.

  • Engage in the strategic planning of the MTC team, focused on asset management business plans.

  • Maintain and grow client relationships and lead responses to client requests, RFQs, and RFPs.

  • Maintain knowledge of water asset management, operational, and technology industry trends.

  • Meet performance goals and objectives as assigned, with respect to client-specific demands, stated delivery milestones, quality standards, project management framework, and all required training activities.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Broad range of local government and utility planning, facility planning, operation and asset management financial and non-financial experience.

  • Experience in asset management standards, practices, and applicable legislation such as (ISO 55000 & related standards), Institute of Asset Management (IAM), Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), Uptime elements, and Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA).

  • Knowledge of CMMS implementation and optimization. This includes work process development, asset inventory and hierarchy design, and KPI development.

  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle and related business processes managed within an EAM such as asset handover, inspections, asset maintenance and repair, work scheduling, inventory, and repair/refurbish/replace decisions.

  • Recognized thought leader in the industry through publication, advisory committees, organizational leadership and other avenues.

  • Hands on experience advancing strategies and solutions with government and utility leadership.

  • Elements of project management experience, including preparing and managing project scope, schedule, team activities, communication, and deliverables.

  • Able to travel as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Graduate degree in a relevant asset management field.

  • 15 plus years industry experience in asset management

  • Have background and certification; in IAM, Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals).

This role will be 100% remote, work-from-home.
