Aerotek is seeking an A&P Mechanic responsible for line and hangar maintenance of turboprop aircraft at the PDX airport. Must posses valid A&P license. Must be open for working in outdoor conditions and on the weekends.

Job Description

A&P Mechanic responsible for the line and hangar maintenance of turboprop aircraft such as KingAirs, EMB120, SA-227, and others. The role primarily involves working indoors in a hangar, with some outdoor line work in an airport environment that operates 7 days a week. You will handle a variety of projects including prop changes, transmissions, hot sections, inspections, and avionics troubleshooting. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience on PT-6 engines, which are valuable across various aircraft types.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line and hangar maintenance on turboprop aircraft

  • Handle prop changes, transmissions, hot sections, and inspections

  • Troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems

  • Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance tasks

  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records

Essential Skills

  • A&P license

  • 2+ years of Aircraft Maintenance experience (school experience is acceptable)

  • Experience with turboprop aircraft

  • Line maintenance experience

  • Troubleshooting and electrical skills

  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and airframe

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be open to various shifts

  • Eligibility for SIDA badge

Work Environment

You will work in a hangar and line environment at PDX, with access that does not go through the terminal. Parking is available right next to the hangar. The work shifts are Monday to Friday from 19:30 to 04:30, or Friday to Monday from 17:00 to 03:30. Overtime is available as needed, and you will always get your 40 hours in 4 shifts, with the option to add extra shifts if desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
