Dive into a hands-on learning experience with our poolside team as an Aquatics Desk Clerk Intern! The City of Portlands Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department Department is seeking interns to greet and direct patrons as they enter the Kiwanis Pool Facility located at 165 Douglass Street, June 10 through August 16, 2024.\ \ Responsibilities & Requirements:
- The position will provide assistance to patrons with inquiries (i.e. pool hours, rules and fees) and perform various administrative duties.
- Flexible work hours to include mornings, afternoons, early evenings and weekends.
- A basic knowledge of swim safety skills is required.
- Basic organizational, communication and customer service skills are also required.
- Ability to attain Red Cross certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED and/or Basic Water Rescue preferred.
- Experience working with preschool children and youth is desirable.
