Job Description

Under general supervision, you will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, and supplies. You will also maintain records of materials and inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and administrative tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and supplies.

  • Maintain accurate records of materials and inventory.

  • Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.

  • Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

  • Carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.

  • Adhere to safety practices, including good housekeeping and ergonomics.

  • Follow workplace organization and training procedures.

  • Engage in cross-training and teamwork.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and report any issues or inconsistencies.

  • Learn new processes, systems, and equipment as required.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements.

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English.

  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.

  • Adherence to safety practices and good housekeeping.

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.

  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.

  • Capability to observe and correct minute inconsistencies.

  • Independent judgment in analyzing material and inventory issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

  • Forklift operation skills.

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturing environment, where you may need to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds constantly. The role requires good visual perception and fine motor skills. You will be expected to follow detailed instructions and complete documentation accurately. Attention to detail is crucial as you will need to observe and note any inconsistencies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portage, Michigan

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $29.25/hr.
