As an Event Planning Specialist for Stryker Medical, you will work with the customer and employee experience team to plan and deliver best in class meetings and events based on the identified needs of our internal stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Execute on meeting requirements, plans and schedules for assigned meetings. Requirements include but are not limited to invitations, registration, air and ground travel, food and beverage, audio visual, amenity selection, site inspections and selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up with minimal direction.

  • Execute meetings within established budget and ensure timely and accurate processing of meeting planning expenses.

  • Establish relationships with immediate team and internal customers to provide a collaborative and proactive approach to the successful planning and implementation of all programs.

  • Provide high quality, effective meeting planning support and onsite support, as required.

  • Support other team members in the execution of meetings.

  • Collaborate across group, divisions and business units, as required.

  • Assist in the development of detailed program budgets, control documents and tracking information for every program. Complete all required documents and follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance and continuity of all programs.

  • Own and manage distribution lists for meetings and events across various channels and report communication metrics on a regular basis.

  • Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback to provide recommendations for future program enhancements or changes.

  • Assist in projects with outside agencies responsible for providing support for meeting messaging and branding.

  • Maintain a high degree of self-motivation, generate fresh ideas, keep current with internal and external design trends and foster positive team interaction.

  • Act in the best interest of Stryker, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2+ years direct work experience in meeting, conference, or special event planning required

  • Expertise in Sharepoint 365, MS Office, Zoom, Teams preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills, including ability to tailor communication style to audience.

  • Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to change
