R&D Technician

The R&D Technician will support the laboratory chemical operations for synthesizing, modifying, and analyzing media for advanced purification applications.

This position is part of Pall’s Global R&D Organization and will be located in Port Washington, NY

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Set-up, operate and maintain lab based chemical process equipment and analytical instrumentation requiring the safe use of potentially hazardous chemicals according to established operating procedures and company regulations.

  • Perform standard and special tests in support of R&D activities

  • Calibrate analytical instrumentation or equipment to traceable standards in accordance with specified procedures.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Associate degree in chemistry, Physics or Engineering technology (or equivalent) with at least 5 years industrial work experience

  • Experience operating in a R&D lab environment and a demonstrated track record of safely using hazardous chemicals (at least 2 years of relevant experience)

  • Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Record Keeping: maintaining records of Prototype builds, data and calculations pertaining to fabrication, testing and calibration.

  • Excellent understand of lab safety and regulatory procedures.

  • Experience coordinating the removal of hazardous waste by external vendors

This role is onsite.

The hourly range for this role is 26.45 – 43.00 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
