The Residence Manager is responsible for the continuous direction and day-to-day operation of the residence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Hiring of direct care counselors and support staff. Assigning and scheduling staff so that staff are available at all times when consumers are present. Supervising staff, providing them with feedback and completing formal performance evaluations. Ensuring that all staff are adequately trained. Implementing agency and residential policies and procedures. Participating in screening, admission, treatment planning and discharge meetings. Monitoring the effectiveness of residential habilitation treatment plans. Ensuring that consumer files are accurate and complete. Meeting with consumers’ families and keeping them apprised of significant issues. Facilitating consumer access to community resources and maintaining a positive relationship with neighbors. Monitoring the planning and implementation of recreational activities. Ensuring that the residence is maintained in a clean and safe manner. Reviewing and evaluating facility activities to ensure conformance to applicable regulations. Ensuring that there is an adequate inventory of supplies. Monitors menu plans and food purchases. Assures medical attention is arranged for ill or injured consumers. Ensuring that needed supplies are purchased in accordance with approved budgets and that accurate records are maintained. Preparing time sheets for payroll. Preparing reports as required by the agency. Conducting regular staff meetings. Administers medication to consumers as necessary. As necessary, performs all duties of direct care staff. The manager will cooperate with the Center for Family Support management and/or DDD staff in any inspection or investigation. All other duties as assigned. * SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages 8 - 12 Direct Care Counselors. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the residence. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
