Position Overview: The Learning and Development Intern will support the Learning and Development (L&D) team in creating, coordinating, and delivering employee training and development initiatives. The Learning and Development Intern will assist with various tasks such as developing training materials, managing learning platforms, tracking progress, and providing support for ongoing learning programs. Where you will work: This opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office or a nearby Astound office, or a combination of both. A Day in the Life of the Learning and Development Intern: Contribute to the design, creation, and formatting of engaging training content, including presentations, manuals, and e-learning modules. Maintain training records and assist with tracking employee participation and progress. Prepare regular reports on training effectiveness and participation. Assist with the management of internal learning management systems (LMS), ensuring content is up to date, accessible, and functioning properly. Conduct research on emerging learning and development trends, tools, and technologies to support the organization's learning strategies. Participate in team meetings to learn about the broader L&D strategy and provide input on ways to enhance the overall employee learning experience. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring to the Table: Basic knowledge or interest in Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus. Prior experience in creating or analyzing feedback surveys. Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, Business, or a related field. Compensation: The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
