Robert Half Accounts Receivable Administrator in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey
Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, with experience in pivot tables and lookups, and preferably experience within the education sector or school district. This role involves managing purchase orders, cross-referencing attendance with invoices, and handling all aspects of invoice management and financial documentation.
Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Management:
Process and manage purchase orders.
Verify and reconcile purchase orders with deliveries and invoices.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of purchase order details into the accounting system.
Attendance and Invoice Cross-Referencing:
Cross-reference student attendance records with invoiced services.
Ensure accurate billing based on attendance and service delivery.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between attendance records and invoices.
Invoice Management:
Prepare, review, and send invoices to clients and stakeholders.
Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
Coding and Financial Documentation:
Match and code invoices and payments accurately.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
Experience in the education sector or school district preferred but not required.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with accounting software and processes.
