Idaho Division of Veterans Services Opportunity

IDVS is seeking outstanding RNs to join our team in a temporary role, providing 24 to 40 hours per week of care to our Veterans, up to 1,385 hours per year. This is a benefitted position in the Pocatello Veterans Home.

Summary:

To perform lead professional nursing within a specialized program with either a staff or program oversight role; provide liaison with staff and the community; or assume eight-hour responsibility for an entire facility in the absence of administrative and other professional medical personnel; perform related work.

Responsibilities:

This work requires application of specialized knowledge or experience beyond the RN level. Positions generally have more responsibility for effectiveness of service delivery and are more involved in quality assurance, problem-solving and conflict resolution. As agency representatives, they may consult with and provide liaison with community groups. Positions may be used in a lead/supervisory role, operating independently within a satellite office or as a lead worker in a specialized area of nursing.

*Minimum Qualifications:Qualifications: Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.

Experience:Performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans
