Robert Half Controller/Director of Finance in Plymouth, New Hampshire
Description Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join a well-respected company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. How you will make an impact
Oversee insurance and risk management
Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks
Supervise financial planning and budget management functions
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Develop five-year business plans with department managers
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Manage the preparation of all financial reports
Perform analysis on operating results, comparing against budget Requirements - Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
MBA or CPA is preferred
Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
10+ years of accounting and finance experience
Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
High analytical and extremely detailed
