Position Details:

  • Flex Warehouse employee - can live within commutable distance to any US Core-Mark Location

  • Base Salary - $27.00 hourly – Minimum 40 hours pay per week

  • Per Diem (while on deployment)

  • $50 per day per diem, including travel day and non-workdays

  • Associate will receive 3 weeks PTO

  • Associate will work 4/10-hour days, capped at 42 hours while in home OpCo(Distribution Center)

  • While deployed to another Distribution Center will need to be duty ready on day off

  • Must be 21 years of age

Position Purpose:

Flex Warehouse employees fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our warehouse employees not only make sure customers’ products are handled/packed/staged in good condition but are the support to our Transportation driver team – which in turn, builds lasting relationships with our customers!

Warehouse associates are the foundation for our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards.

Flex Warehouse employees are responsible for supporting a OpCo in a specified manner based on employee expertise as well as OpCo needs.

You are expected to be timely, professional, respectful, and a key support factor in ensuring that we as a company can support our customer needs.

The manner in which you are handling the product will demonstrate this commitment to our customers.

Communication and interaction with all OpCo employees/management will always be in a professional manner.

Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently pick products and prepare orders for shipment observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.

  • Works independently and communicates well with other departments (verbally/written/computer) to move work through the system in an organized fashion.

  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

  • Ensures work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.

  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.

  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that proper attention is given to all areas including, but not limited to; balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned.

  • Maintains inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.

  • Maintains orderly workstation; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.

  • Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.

  • Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.

  • Performs end of shift tasks such as: charging power equipment and verifying completed work.

  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.

  • Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.

  • Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepares for operations.

  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

  • Self-identifies mistakes, identify problems, and recommend solutions, provide candid and timely feedback to all levels in the organization, involve others in problem-solving when needed and see all responsibilities through to a successful completion.

  • Transfers merchandise from the receiving area to it appropriate location. Consolidates merchandise into picking containers as necessary.

  • Restocks order pick and flow lines to prepare warehouse for order selection.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience

• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift

• Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as forklift, single /double pallet jack, order selector (cherry picker). Will be willing and able to operate all Material Handling Equipment

• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position

• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

• Willing to work in all environments. Ambient, cooler and freezer in all shifts

• Must be 21 years of age

• Valid Driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record
