The Technical Product Manager - Equipment Controls resource is responsible for creating plans, organizing, and manages the unit controls product life cycle from concept through end of life for assigned unit product lines. Primary objective is to provide a controls strategy that meets the performance requirements and cost targets for each equipment product line as defined by the project team, with the goal to optimize profit and meet corporate growth targets. Essential Responsibilities: Develop and recommends new Technical control product concepts. Provide Technical requirements to internal and external product development resources and suppliers to clearly define high-level functionality, time lines, and cost expectations. Recommend modifications of existing products to leverage new features and cost reduction opportunities. Maintain contacts with key internal customers to ensure coordination between product development efforts and control implementation strategies. Maintain contact with key external customers via customer/site visits and VOC initiatives to ensure alignment between customer expectations and unit control implementation. Develop methods for field testing programs (alpha/beta sites) to determine control performance and user acceptance. Support the Technical Response Center and Quality Assurance for controls related issues as required. Define and maintains unit controller and related accessory portfolios. Develop and recommend marketing objectives, including performance goals, feature content, and "user experience" strategies. Analyze market trends and potential and identifies market opportunities. Direct market development supporting the "One Daikin" corporate initiatives. Provide marketing requirements to internal and external product development resources and suppliers to clearly define high-level functionality, time lines, and cost expectations. Coordinate activities with other departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, and technical literature, to ensure synergies of objectives and successful product launches. Perform role as "Product Owner" within the Lean/Dev-Ops environment, including participation in team meetings, establishing priorities, and approving controls related development activities.
