Job Description

This position includes application / calibration responsibilities of advanced camera based driver assistance functions. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in. You will work directly with an entire development team including software developers, fellow application / calibration engineers and project managers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies.

Below is a highlight of the things you would being working on:

  • Responsible for vehicle testing / system integration / application / validation / requirements engineering for camera based driver assistance functions (e.g. lateral control, road departure mitigation, predictive emergency brake systems, traffic sign recognition, head light control and autonomous driving functions).

  • Responsible for sensor integration in vehicle, debugging / troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Matlab, ROS, and ADTF.

  • Responsible for bench and vehicle testing (public road and test track)

  • In-vehicle and simulation/bench performance calibration of sensor based algorithms to meet both objective and subjective customer and Bosch performance specifications.

  • Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking

  • Define and document test cases / test strategy, analyze and document test data / results

  • Recommend software / logic changes for performance issues that cannot be solved via parameter tuning

  • Ensure system development, validation and delivery according to guidelines and processes in place

  • Support test drives with customer

  • First point of contact for OEM for system integration topics, prepare technical presentations for customer

  • Support in defining strategy for data capture, which includes, strategy, infrastructure, procurement, setup, and rollout of instrumented vehicle fleet.


  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or foreign equivalent.

  • 1 or more years experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in an automotive function.

  • 1 or more years experience in systems / requirements engineering.

  • 1 or more years in application – calibration of electronic modules in vehicle.

  • 1 or more years experience with system integration in vehicle.

  • 1 or more years experience in vehicle system architecture (i.e. vehicle communication protocols, power supply management, interface requirements for electronic modules, etc.).
