Delta Electronics Automotive Americas Inc. Electrical Engineer in Plymouth, Michigan
- Understand OEM's system requirements, create system requirement documentation (SRD) and component specification.
- Support RFI/RFQ technical proposal with engineering assumptions, commercial impact assessment and product demonstrations.
- Support design analysis, including DFMEA, WCCA and functional safety ISO26262.
- Facilitate design review and technical meetings with customers and global design teams.
- Design electronic power products, including high voltage, high power automotive power modules. Carry out the product development process, from design to release.
- Develop local product test capabilities and conduct tests in a local engineering lab.
- Support vehicle integration and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate and support production field application issue resolution.
- Support RMA process and warranty issue with customers to validate newly implemented application functions, ensuring alignment with user requirements and expectations.
- Support O&M test with both Delta internal developers and customers applications.
- Support software test along with HEMS test for ever new firmware release.
- Conduct electrical hands-on work, system debug and develop local product test capabilities and conduct test in Delta local engineering lab and in customer field.
- In charge of Vehicle to Home project with main products including Bi- Directional Invertor, Miro-grid Integration device and Bi- Directional Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of OCPP features of Bi-Directional EVSE, verifying seamless communication between charging stations and customer's back-end systems.
- Using applications like Wireshark to conduct in-depth analysis of communication packets, identifying potential issues, and ensuring the communication protocol between the charger and electrical vehicle meets-up with the current market standards.
This job requires 30% of onsite support for customers in Michigan and 20% of domestic and international travels outside Michigan and US.
