Apex has an exciting long-term opportunity for a Post Doc to work for a world-renowned chemical company. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related fields, preferably with expertise in kinetic modeling of heterogeneous catalysts with applications in emission catalyst technology. This position is based in the Philadelphia area and is a hybrid role, but will require the candidate to be on-site 50% of the time. Industrial Postdoctoral Position Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral scientist to join our client's research team. You will work on developing and applying kinetic models of heterogeneous catalysts for chemical and energy transformations. You will have the chance to collaborate with leading emission catalyst systems experts and with external customers and partners. You will also gain valuable experience and skills for your future career in industry or academia. Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and apply kinetic models of heterogeneous catalysts using Matlab or similar platforms.
  • Perform experiments and data analysis to support model development and validation.
  • Communicate results and findings to internal and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Contribute to the innovation and improvement of client's catalyst technologies and products.
  • Collaborate with client's global research teams and external partners on joint projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related fields.
  • Expertise in kinetic modeling of heterogeneous catalysts, preferably with applications in emission catalyst technology.
  • Proficiency in Matlab or similar platforms for coding, simulation, and optimization.
  • Experience in experimental design, execution, and analysis of catalytic systems.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
