Red Baron Transportation Yard Guard in Plattsburgh, New York
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class A CDL license. Current Medical Card. Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Clean driving record focused on safety. Successful completion of a background check and drug screen. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (preferred). Knowledge of yard management and trailer spotting operations. Ability to operate yard trucks and related equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
Responsibilities Move trailers within the yard to designated spots for loading and unloading. Ensure trailers are securely chocked and locked. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on trailers and yard trucks. Keep accurate records of trailer locations and movements. Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for trailer movement. Help maintain yard organization and cleanliness. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Yard Manager. Comply with company policies, including those related to Conduct, Drug & Alcohol, EO, Sexual Harassment, and the no-smoking policy. Perform other assigned duties.
