Chewy Senior Real Estate Manager - Transactions in Plantation, Florida

Our Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Real Estate Manager - Transactions , with a responsibility for implementing real estate strategy and deal negotiation for all Chewy’s Corporate, Customer Service, Fulfilment Center, Pharmacy, and Retail locations across the country. You will execute strategic initiatives while collaborating and communicating across functions (Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Procurement, and HR) ensuring proper responses to company real estate needs. You will help provide strategic leadership for the acquisition and lease of facilities that support the growth of the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Facilitate and contribute to deliverables related to overall planning and real estate transactions, and projects with brokers and landlords.

  • Prepare, recommend, and implement a portfolio-wide transaction strategy for acquiring and disposing of real estate properties.

  • Play a lead role in negotiating LOI and leases with landlords in coordination with internal legal team and outside counsels.

  • Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders the execution of new leases, lease renewals, new site acquisitions, and disposition of surplus space through subleasing and early lease terminations.

  • Prepare occupancy costs financial analysis and provides recommendations on site selections for real estate projects.

  • Manage the relationships with building management and landlords.

  • Use current information/data and business knowledge to identify real estate options for expansion and relocation as projects arise.

  • Disciplined negotiator in large contract negotiations, able to balance operational, financial, and legal terms in complex negotiations.

  • Successful track record of completing large-scale real estate transactions.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate transaction experience, applicable industry tenure or similar combination of education and experience.

  • Candidate must have an entrepreneurial and self-starting mentality and be able to deal with ambiguity.

  • Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication, time management, proof reading and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Hubs: Bellevue, WA | Minneapolis, MN | Boston, MA | Plantation, FL

  • Remote (more than 90-miles outside Hub)
