We are seeking Full Stack Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Senior Lead Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
The Cloud Data & Communications Enablement team’s goal is to provide innovative robust data solutions to the Capital One enterprise while also providing expertise that maintains a well-managed data environment. We will develop solutions that ensure the efficient, durable, and resilient use of our enterprise database Cloud Platforms. Major OKRs include: Design core architectural concepts for Cloud Jobs to be Done (JTBD), Develop tooling and reporting which delivers on well managed database service outcome, Improve well-managed operational and compliance outcomes on the AWS Platform and Improve Small Accounts program readiness for adoption and support.
What You’ll Do:
Leverage AWS services to build applications.
Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, JavaScript, Java, and HTML/CSS, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and a variety of AWS tools and services in automation and data engineering support.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 8 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
5+ development experience in AWS
9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Python, SQL, JavaScript, or Java.
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
1+ years of people management experience
2+ years of experience in Agile practices
