Actalent Functional Engineer in Plano, Texas
Description:
The team is responsible for working on user interfaces of dealership websites, web applications, car applications, etc
S/W on test benches and related integrations. Hands on experience with building automated test suites for API testing using PostMan.
Proficient in testing Microservices that use REST and gRPC and other high-performance protocol. Knowledge and experience in supporting and enabling the Automation and Performance teams
Familiar with preparing and articulating different test methods & approaches to validate service layer applications.
Proficient in Log analysis for both server and mobile applications
Plan approaches and execute efficient iterative regression testing
Knowledge and experience in supporting and enabling the Automation and Performance teams
Team player with exceptional collaboration skills and Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams, Dev teams, Managers and stake holders
Good at Text Metrics and reporting What you’ll be doing
Prepare the pre-requisites for the upcoming testing.
Analyze Functional and technical Specs, Epics, User stories, Use Cases and test Criteria and create detailed Test Cases Prepare test plans for test events / Milestones
Execute scripted and ad-hoc/freeform tests
Ensure the integrity of test cases in JIRA
Timely updates to JIRA tickets for issue resolution visibility and progress Support Triage, defect prioritization, retesting and defect closure Support Product Owners with joint test events (customer and suppliers)
Attend program test events (functional testing)Build metrics and graphs for test case execution and defect management Review Test plan, schedules, release plans, test cases Support PROD deployment and drive tests
Skills:
api, postman, regression testing, grcp, manual testing, software, ui, automotive experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills
Strong functional testing expertise, especially in UI and API regression testing within the automotive domain
Proficiency in different testing methods including execution of test suites, specifically for API testing using PostMan, and supporting automation and performance teams
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with Agile/Scrum teams, developers, managers, and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
Experience in scripting and executing API automation using cucumber and rest assured framework
Knowledge and use of AWS cloud debugging and monitoring tools
