TheBid Coordinatoris part of the Construction Services and Business Development Teams. This role is responsible for selling Sevan as a reputable contractor to sub-contracting and vendor organizations. The position helps to implement strategies that enhance Sevan-s ability to solicit effective contracting capability throughout the nation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for setting up and maintaining bid platforms and soliciting proposals from sub-contractors.
Spends most of the day on phone calls discussing projects and requirements with sub-contracting capacity nationwide.
Creates project invitations to bid for subcontractors on bidding platforms.
Manages team in identifying qualified subcontractors and establishing and maintaining bid solicitation lists.
Investigates local market conditions and their effect on costs and schedule.
Provides a review of subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet the intent of the specific scope of work and are in line with Sevan-s contractual requirements.
Prepares/maintains tracking/status reports on projects for subcontractor coverage to identify areas of need.
Subcontractor outreach - cold calling/emailing subcontractors throughout the day to go over project details.
Developing relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for future projects.
Communicates RFP updates with potential subcontractors - mail mergers, building-connected messages, and phone calls.
Manages the invitation to bid process and update bid tracking software and sheets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years- experience in bid coordinating and estimating.
Experience in sales is a plus.
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
Able to multi-task and manage many requirements simultaneously.
Confidence in cold calling and selling our company.
Able to interpret construction documents and scope requirements.
Proactive and capable of working both independently and as part of a larger, diverse team.
Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for comprehending bid documents, specifications, numerical data, qualifications, etc.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word), Smartsheet, and Building Connected.

Pay & Benefits:
The anticipated compensation range for the position is between $25 - $31/hr, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
Work Conditions& Travel:
Hybrid (3-4 days per week in office) in Dallas / Plano, TX.
