What we’re looking for
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure timely completion of period close process, and preparation of account reconciliations. This person in this role will support the TFS Accounting department's objective to provide accurate accounting information to enable sound decisions and drive management actions.
What you’ll be doing
Perform accounting activities including the month-end close process.
Review and reconcile month-end data reports for respective journal entries.
Evaluate accuracy and reasonableness of financial information provided by business partners.
Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation and recording of journal entries for US GAAP reporting.
Assist in the preparation and various special projects as requested by management.
Prepare and review supporting schedules and documentation as required for the financial audits by internal and external auditors.
Provide the information required for periodic regulatory audits and tax reporting.
Independently prepare and respond to various ad-hoc requests from internal departments, timely and accurately.
Support business unit projects/initiatives by providing subject matter expertise for your focus areas. This would include providing input on accounting and reporting practices and internal control environment.
What you bring
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS] and relevant work experience.
Strong accounting understanding and expertise with some public accounting or industry experience performing accounting.
Strong written documentation and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, initiative; ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to quickly learn new applications or software tools.
Added bonus
Advanced Degree. Specify: Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant License.
Experience working with ERP applications. SAP preferred.
Public accounting experience with a national firm.
