Actalent EMI/EMC Test Engineer in Plainview, New York
We are seeking a skilled EMI/EMC Test Engineer to join our aerospace and defense company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating test plans, procedures, and reports; scheduling and running tests at local labs; and troubleshooting and testing to DO-160, Mil-704, and Mil-461 standards. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in EMI/EMC testing.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.
Schedule and coordinate tests at local labs.
Conduct tests and document results accurately.
Troubleshoot and ensure compliance with DO-160, Mil-704, and Mil-461 standards.
Perform EMI/EMC testing.
Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Accurately fill out data sheets and write up non-conformances for records.
Essential Skills:
BSEE degree.
3+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in the aerospace industry or military.
Proficiency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
Knowledge of electrical circuits.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Experience in EMI/EMC testing.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience in test development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
