Saint-Gobain Truck Loader (2nd Shift) in PLAINFIELD, Indiana
Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment while accurately storing, shipping, and receiving product, meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.
Loading orders onto trailers that are ready for shipment
Ensuring outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage
Providing feedback to supervision for orders that do not meet “Best Practices” standards (example: wrong size box used, box too heavy, etc.)
Accurate processing and shipping of product
Meeting standards of safety, security, and productivity
Verification of Order information & processing or orders for shipment
Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly
Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial
Ability to follow directions
Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
Must have no adverse hearing loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids.
Ability to pass OSHA approved Crown material handling equipment certification.
Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to maintain a high level of frequency & intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling & crouching.
