DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job ID: 494235
Position Overview Our asphalt plant laborer will perform a wide range of general duties at an asphalt plant including but not limited to: shoveling, moving materials, and maintain good housekeeping while adhering to all safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies, rules and regulations of OSHA/MSHA and Pennsy Supply, Inc. * Determines need for fuel, coolants, lubricants, ignition aids, and adds as needed; inspects, lubricates, and services truck and reports condition of vehicle to Supervisor * Preparedness to learn dozer, excavator, plant loader, pit loader and pit hauler and any other mobile equipment associated to the quarry operation * Sustains high degree of care and attention required to prevent injury to others in highly congested areas * Maintains correct stockpiling techniques to ensure material does not segregate * Responsible to stockpile proper product on correct stockpiles * Assist the plant operator when needed. * Remove dust from the dust silo. * Clean materials under conveyors and plant areas. * Performs general laboring duties when necessary. * Other duties as assigned.
Requirements * Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check. * Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
Education/Experience * High school Diploma or GED equivalent. * Previous experience working in or around an asphalt plant helpful but not required.
