We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer II to join our Data and Analytics Team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA - HYBRID (3 days in office, 2 days work from home per week). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Consulting with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Providing application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project. May also be responsible for requirement gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Conducting reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Leading the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Providing application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. Analyzing, defining and documenting requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. Ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation. Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code. Analyzing, designing and developing tests and test-automation suites. Developing flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintaining software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participating in code reviews. Integrating software components into a fully functional software system. Applying security and privacy principles. Executing full lifecycle software development. Developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshooting, debug and upgrade existing systems. Ensuring software is updated with latest features. Participating in deployment process following all change controls. Providing ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Actively engaging with learning. Using learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Demonstrating team work. Leveraging existing products/functionality and promoting reuse. Working alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborating closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to. Collaborating cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions. Utilizing local meetups to gain and share knowledge. Compiling documentation written by more senior developers of all procedures used in system. Acting as mentor to junior level engineers. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 7-9 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Must have understanding interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. Must also have proficiency in Core Spring, ANSI, Docker. Must have thorough and demonstrative knowledge on or both the user-side frontend of a website, as well as the backend, server-side that powers the user-side. Prior experience with using a specific application development toolkit and knowledge of front end and backend development coding languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases and architecture design principles.
