Strategic Business Analyst- Planning & Development - JR2413051

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Strategic Business Analyst , you will drive the conversion of data into insights to inform business decisions for the Corporate Strategic Team and the SBUs. Working directly with stakeholders and the top management, you will be involved in a wide variety of analyses and activities including the following:

Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the businesses regarding market insight needs to help fill gaps and support long term strategic planning. * Support annual strategic review process including global business strategy reviews and Board of Directors strategy day. * Analyze large datasets integrating internal (e.g. P&L) and external (e.g. market share, economic indicators) data, while providing relevant insights to help the company make informed decisions, address key challenges, benchmark against other companies, and then share insights with management along with recommendations on actions. * Support the annual profit plan process, providing guidance, support and deliverables across the businesses and functions. * Reporting on economic data analysis and implications for the business. * Presentation assistance for Operating Committee and Board of Directors meetings. * Use market/customer research, trends, and competitor analysis to help business units drive revenue, increase yield, improve market share, and enhance customer dedication. * Play a key role in supporting the launch of IBP across several of our strategic business units.

Qualifications: * 5 years' of experience in an analytical role and/or equivalent role. * A Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, Finance, computer science, information management ore related field. MBA is a plus * Strategic and financial background with a good eye for business and an overall knowledge of the PPG organization and business systems. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization * Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project * Ability to work in a highly confidential environment and work with discretion * Ability to break down and tackle problems through quantitative thinking and analysis * Proficient digital literacy with MS Suite, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in written, in English and local office language(s)
