Your Opportunity + Impact The Engineer will produce and oversee Process Engineering Department deliverables, coordinate the preparation of design details, calculations, data sheets, and all other process-related engineering activities. Key Responsibilities Manage a unit(s) of Engineers I - IV and Designers, including: Provide recommendations regarding the selection of new employees as well as promotion and transfers of existing employees; Monitor employee performance and provide appropriate coaching and performance feedback, as well as identify necessary areas of retraining; Direct and assign the work of the employees and monitor workflow; Conduct training; Recommend and administer disciplinary actions; In conjunction with the executive management team, participate and make recommendations regarding management decisions regarding staff realignment, layoffs, and additions to staff. Perform and Manage assignments to develop professional knowledge and abilities in support of a project team. Review Process Flow Diagrams, equipment specifications, data sheets, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Review calculations including; material and energy balances, tank and vessel sizing, drain and vent sizing, heat loss. Review specifications and technical reports requiring review and oversight of the Department Manager. Manage discipline-specific projects, adhering to established budgets and schedules. Manage staff support for large projects; assist Project Manager with cost estimating and scheduling. Continue professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Eight (8) years of experience in the engineering field with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering P.E. certification preferred Preferred Qualifications Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Proficient with ChemCAD, Aspen or Promax.
