Philips Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Sr. Embedded SW Engineer, CG 60 Sleep and Respiratory Care R&D

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to play a critical role in improving and saving lives around the world through expertise in Systems Design, Development, and Integration, for Philips' Sleep & Respiratory Care products.

Your role:

  • Participate in the development of embedded software including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and documentation

  • Develop software, independently and according to own judgement, targeted development assignments, the broad outlines of which have already been indicated

  • Work with research, marketing, and end users to refine requirements

  • Create products according to the specifications and software development process

  • Create engineering documentations to comply with product development policies, practices and procedures

You're the right fit:

  • You’ve acquired 8+years of professional experience developing embedded software solutions

  • Working knowledge of embedded application development (C and C++)

  • Ability to develop, test, and deploy application on custom hardware/devices

  • Works under close supervision on segments of a project or very small projects

  • Performs tasks to schedule and requirements; provide solutions using standard techniques and alternatives

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices; understands basics of business operation and displays ability to communicate effectively

  • Capable of working on specific assignments in technical area; applies standard techniques to common problems

  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team within the department and across departments to help achieve group, department and overall project goals

  • Experience in FDA regulated medical devices, systems, and software highly preferred

Additional Information:

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position you will need to reside in or live within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, Pa.
