DESCRIPTION OF WORK Our Registered Nurse Supervisors at the Southwestern Veterans Center have the responsibility of ensuring the comprehensive care of residents and overseeing nursing care in designated areas during assigned shifts, while adhering to HIPAA standards. In order to meet facility accreditation requirements, you will provide general supervision, guidance, and support to all nurses on each shift in implementing daily healthcare activities, treatments, and medications for residents. You will also be responsible for observing residents' conditions, documenting daily care provided, and fulfilling various supervisory duties such as planning, evaluating work, selecting employees, resolving issues, and maintaining nursing care hours as per regulations. Additionally, you will handle resident and employee complaints, plan for necessary medical equipment and supplies, and schedule adequate personnel to meet the needs of residents. Through these efforts, you contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by delivering exceptional care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years as a Registered Nurse (commonwealth title); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability. Special Requirements: All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
