Hardware Technician Supporting Autonomous Vehicles!!!

Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Hardware Technicians with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving. You will be involved in assembling both simple and complex hardware systems within a manufacturing production environment. A deep passion for trucks, cars, and future technologies is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Build self-driving vehicles as part of the Manufacturing Team.

  • Engage in vehicle build, sub-assembly, integrated modules, and harness assembly.

  • Adhere to manufacturing documentation standards.

  • Operate within the Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Comply with safety standards and meet internal deadlines.

  • Work independently with limited oversight.

  • Pursue continuing education and development opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in hardware assembly and electromechanical systems.

  • 0-2 years of experience for entry-level technicians, with experience in technical trade school or equivalent education.

  • 2 to 7 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, development, or production spaces.

  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 or standardized process environments.

  • Proficiency in Jira, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools.

  • Excellent communication skills and documentation practices.

  • Strong electrical skills, with the ability to read wiring schematics and layouts and assemble wiring harnesses.

  • Basic proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • A can-do customer service attitude with multitasking abilities under pressure.

  • Problem-solving skills to analyze and isolate issues.

  • Ability to handle, control, and feel objects, including very small objects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, carry materials, bend at the waist, reach, and kneel for extended periods.

  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs up to 25 feet.

  • Maximum unassisted lift of 50 pounds, with a normal lift of 20 pounds or less.

  • Experience in pulling or pushing wheeled equipment to build locations.

  • Exposure to moving parts and tooling such as impact tools, drills, and cutting equipment.

  • Daily use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • IPC training and certification, or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721.

  • GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing certification).

  • Production workshop experience.

  • Automotive and trucking mechanical experience and/or qualifications.

Work Environment

This is a 100% on-site position. Lunch is provided daily.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
