DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerk Typist 2, you will provide clerical and office support for the Senior Companion Program. This includes processing income applications, answering phone calls, and addressing general questions regarding agency program. Work involves utilizing the Client Path data collection system to track placements, waitlist status, and other client information. Filing documentation, processing new applicants, and ensuring time sheets are complete and accurate will be included in your duties. You will have the opportunity to communicate by phone with Senior Companions, potential applicants, and volunteer stations supervisors. Additional duties to include but not limited to: Maintaining an inventory of office supplies and placing orders Preparing a monthly calendar for Senior Companions informing them of in-service dates and topics Working with ACCESS to assist Senior Companions when faced with transportation related issues

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny County.
