\Job Title: Aircraft Assembler

Job Description

Performs a variety of tooling repair and fabrication. Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Collaborates with ME and quality to determine best practices and machine strategy. Sets up and runs CNC machining centers. Generates and modifies CNC programs on various types of CNC controllers. Utilizes CAM to create CNC programs from CAD generated solid models. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.

  • Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment.

  • Determine material, parts, and equipment requirements.

  • Collaborate with ME and quality teams to determine best practices and machine strategies.

  • Set up and run CNC machining centers.

  • Generate and modify CNC programs on various types of CNC controllers.

  • Utilize CAM to create CNC programs from CAD generated solid models.

  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Strong Tool and Die experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

  • Strong CAD/CAM experience with 5-7 years of experience.

  • CNC programming and setup with 5-7 years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CNC Technical/Trade school certification.

  • Highly motivated team player.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pinellas Park, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
