Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a full time Emergency Department Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Overall departmental management of the Emergency Department
- Day to day operations of the ED
- Leadership and mentor for personal and professional growth of staff
- Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering, documenting and evaluating patient care of all ages in accordance with the unit specific policies, procedures and physician treatment plan
- Acts as a liaison between management and staff, as well as between patient, physician, staff and family
- Completing and managing payroll, staff scheduling and annual performance reviews
- Materials Management
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid RN license in the state of Michigan
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in emergency care, intensive care and or medical surgical nursing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Within one year of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
