A New Leaf\'s Early Childhood Education - Phoenix Day Program is hiringAssistant Teachers! Join us in building strong educational foundations for South Phoenixs young learners. Help children gain the skills and confidence to succeed in school and beyond. Our Phoenix Day Program has been a cornerstone in South Phoenix for over 100 years, dedicated to nurturing and empowering children from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where young minds can grow and flourish.

What Youll Do:

  • Build Strong Foundations: Help children develop essential skills and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
  • Create a Positive Impact: Be a part of a supportive community focused on each childs growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Engage Young Minds: Design and lead activities that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assist in the education, supervision, and care of children
  • Assist in planning and preparing the environment and activities for children
  • Assist with classroom education, assessments and lesson planning
  • Work directly with children in an instruction setting
  • Prepare daily reports, health checks and documentation as required by the program
  • Establish and maintain a rapport with parents
  • Welcome and work with visitors and volunteers
  • Ensure the safety of children at all times
  • Clean up, diapering, potty training of children if age appropriate
  • Serve meals and drinks to children
  • Teach children healthy personal habits
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Phoenix Day
  • Assist in sanitizing of classroom, classroom materials, etc.
  • Attain a minimum 20 hours of training in required categories per ADHS, NAC, and Quality First!
  • Attend quarterly all staff meetings and promotional events
  • Other duties as assigned
