Intel System Software Development Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Omni Bridge team in the Incubation and Disruptive Innovation (IDI) group is looking for a talented Software Engineer to help develop a foundational SDK for our product on Intel's cutting-edge AI PC platform.

As a successful candidate for this role, you will collaborate with teammates and partners in other Intel business units to define the SDKs scope and implement its features in one or more languages.

A successful candidate will demonstrate :

  • The ability to integrate the technical requirements of the SDK with OmniBridges business goal of providing AI-powered ASL translation anytime, anywhere.

  • The ability to: tolerate ambiguity in a fast-moving environment, respond with agility to changing requirements, and craft working software with a reasonable level of independence.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to

Understand cloud-based software architecture.

Design, develop, and test an SDK specifically for the AI PC platform that, ideally, can also be used in the cloud while keeping Intel’s security requirements in mind.

Developing a sample application, code samples, and documentation to demonstrate the SDKs capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates .This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a STEM related field with over 5+ years of relevant industry experience

3+ years’ experience developing software in Python, C++, or JavaScript.

3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with software development lifecycle as it applies to the Intel PLC and experience with the Intel SDLe process.

Experience developing SDKs and/or software modules for external consumption.

Hands on experience with OpenVINO, ONNX, or AI inferencing is a plus.

Knowledgeable of software stacks and interoperability techniques combining heterogeneous languages on local or distributed systems.

Experience with CI/CD and the use of GitHub Actions to automate unit test execution.

Understanding of SOLID design principles, Agile/XP development, and Atlassian Jira.

Proficient at writing unit tests, ensuring test coverage, and knowledge of Test-Driven Development.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $123,419.00-$185,123.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
