Job Description
Position Summary/Purpose:
Get paid to work remotely this summer. We are looking hire those that can tutor in both math and computer science. Our aim is to provide one on one academic support to online university students who need help in either in ITT-111, CST-105, MAT-144 and MAT-154. Tutors work remotely but must live in the state of Arizona.
Qualifications:
Computer Science Tutor: must have taken either ITT-111 or CST-105
Math Tutor: must have taken either MAT-144 or MAT-154.
Must have a minimum 3.5GPA
Must have a minimum "A-" in the one of the math and computer science classes above. .
Have good communication skill on the phone.
Self-driven
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Provide tutoring/coaching for students; reviewing course lectures, homework, etc.
Review diagnostic assessments of students.
Make outbound calls to set up tutoring appointments.
Update CRM database with specific appointment notes.
Maintain confidentiality of student records and services provided.
May be requested to perform administrative duties as needed.
Education:
Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting: 2-8 hours a day
Fine Eye to Hand Coordination: Continuously
Work Environment: Remote. Work is performed primarily inside, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.
Pay Rate: $15.00
