Mercury Systems Senior Manager, Demand Planning and Logistics in Phoenix, Arizona

Oversees and manages all demand planning, inventory control, and procurement supporting the Phoenix, AZ facility. This includes tactical day-to-day operational commitments covering planned/purchase/work order management, inventory control, material handling, and shipping/receiving activities. Executes customer delivery requirements into material strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and sales. Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures, while ensuring efficient execution and delivery of the operating plan for the business. You will be a key stakeholder in helping to achieve Mercury’s focus areas of predictable performance, a thriving growth engine, margin expansion, and cash release through delivery performance and inventory management. Job Responsibilities: * Maintain accuracy of Work-in-Process inventory. * Manages the activities of the material planning and purchasing functions to ensure that the required material, as identified and authorized in the program material plan and Bill of Material, is effectively managed to meet the programs’ production and engineering requirements. * Sustain and deliver on commitments and inventory targets. * As required by current schedules, develops, and maintains forecasts and factory schedule loading. * Leverage Lean concepts to improve performance relative to run strategies and other key performance improvement opportunities. * Drive standard operational KPI’s to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. * Risk & opportunity planning. * Support end to end product lifecycle management. * Play key role in driving process improvement and participate in cross-functional projects with the greater manufacturing and operations organizations. * AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance. * Ensure the shipment of all company products as scheduled. * Monitor the flow of materials from order through receipt, production, and shipping. * Influence/coordinate information flow and work cross functionally with production, product development, inventory, purchasing, sales, and contracts departments to plan, schedule and implement detailed functional plans. * Analyze business process & drive solutions for more efficient flow of materials through production. * Analyze the data integrity of ERP data (item attribute, BOM's and routings) to ensure proper MPS/MRP planning * Supervise the activities of production planners and other supply chain associates by delegating and assigning tasks. Required Qualifications: * BS/BA in Business Administration, Engineering or related major. * 8+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or planning operations including at least 5 years of demonstrated leadership * Experience in Electronic manufacturing with Low volume, High mix, high complexity products to include NPI. * Experience Materials management & systems. * Experience Data analysis- Advanced Excel capabilities & Power BI usage. * Exceptional analytic business acumen, data driven with strong ERP background. * Experience managing a diverse workforce. * Proficient knowledge of electronics manufacturing technologies and methods. * This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Preferred Qualifications: * APICS CPIM. * Experience in ERP systems with Oracle/SAP recommended. * Ability to influence at all levels of an organization. * Team Player: Collaborates with key stakeholders, aligns commitments to meet timelines and influences others without direct authority. * Driver and Goal Oriented: With limited guidance, identifies tasks needed to support desired outcomes, and challenges potential delays to drive necessary actions for results. * Organized: Demonstrated ability to stay organized with multiple responsibilities and deadlines. Good decision making and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented. Time management and workload prioritization capabilities are key. * Flexible: Comfortable working in an adaptive environment with limited guidance from manager. Possesses a positive questioning attitude who is able and willing to dive into the why to develop root cause and corrective strategies to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
