Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect Data Centers to work with our account manager sales team to grow the Data Center business. As a key member of our solutions sales team, you will play a critical role in developing intelligent datacenter systems that optimize energy consumption, monitor critical infrastructure, and ensure seamless operation. Key attributes will be to bring differentiation and innovation to our customers, addressing their business needs, process constraints and technical challenges. The goal is to deliver profitable solutions that create reference architectures. As we standardize our designs during a potential case study, we can move from a project to program based delivery model. Your expertise in EPMS/PLC/BMS solutions will be instrumental in driving this functional design specification which can be executed easily and delivered within customer expectations by our engineering team.

Responsibilities:

1). Apply your expertise in data centers to develop custom solutions for automation, control, and monitoring of mission critical systems.

2) Must possess the ability to build solutions by comprehending the customer context, process and needs, as well as technical complexity induced by the integration of numerous interconnected components and sub-systems.

3). Mentor a team of sales account managers, providing technical guidance, setting customer objectives, and driving successful integration designs.

4). Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, and IT teams, to seamlessly integrate solutions into datacenter infrastructure.

5). Act as a trusted advisor to the client to help develop datacenter metrics, identifying opportunities for energy optimization/power quality and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and data center performance

Requirements

1). Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

2). Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on sales or facility experience in data center operations. Preference is former experience at a data center customer.

3) Sales experience is a plus, however subject matter expertise combined with the ability to communicate in writing and verbal interaction with clients and team members are key attributes for success.

4). In-depth knowledge and experience in layouts for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation and control applications as well as BMS design, building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.), and datacenter infrastructure systems. Electrical system and Power Quality data analytics are also key to the overall Albireo Energy Data Center portfolio.

5). Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address intricate BMS/PLC/Power Quality/EPMS solution challenges.

6). Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of datacenter technologies, cooling solutions, energy efficiency practices, and industry best practices.

7). Industry Certification: Relevant certifications for technology in BMS, PLC, and EPMS . PE, CEM and LEED AP are a plus

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: While performing the onsite duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach, push, pull bend and twist. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl through narrow, enclosed or elevated spaces; move up and down stairs. Regularly use and climb ladders. Visually inspect and locate equipment and products. Read information, often in small print including wiring diagrams and schematics. Enter and locate information on a computer system or communication device. Write documents, reports etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to varying temperatures, work areas that may be slippery and or wet, near equipment and mechanical moving parts. Work indoors for extended periods of time. Work overnight, weekends, and rotating/varying shifts. This is an on-site position (job site or in an Albireo Office) and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
