A Brief Overview
A New Account Representative is responsible for introducing new customers to FirstBank by opening accounts, developing and maintaining account relationships, and providing solutions and resolving customer problems through quality customer service and product knowledge. A New Account Representative is also responsible for cross-selling the Bank's products and services and promoting the Bank by providing excellent customer service and by having the ability to identify and refer customers to the appropriate product and service to fit their needs.
What you will do
Provides excellent customer service by opening new accounts; assisting customers with account questions; responding to customer inquiries on related issues; and providing product and service information.
Accurately performs all required transactions following policies and procedures to minimize losses, and ensures all activities and work functions meet compliance requirements as defined in company policies and procedures and state/federal laws and regulations.
Performs entry/exit for safe deposit box customers, opens and closes safe deposit boxes, and follows safe deposit box policies and procedures.
Reviews daily reports and performs maintenance on accounts as needed.
Recognizes and develops opportunities for cross-selling bank products and services to meet company sales goals.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of new account systems, maintaining thorough knowledge of required account documentation.
Cross-trains in other functions as requested.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Understands and complies with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy.
Hours can vary from 35-40/week.
- Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant work experience in the function

Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
Must be able to exchange accurate information
