Job Description
We are looking for a Public Health Program Coordinator to coordinate the Lactation after Loss Program. This position will be a full-time contract and remote .
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain relationships with internal colleagues, other state agencies, and community organizations
Coordinate the statewide Lactation after Loss program
Work with communities and taskforce to create and update bereavement resources
Disseminate findings and provide resources to local fatality review teams
Coordinate program activities, analyze needs, and assist in collaborative efforts
Establish relationships between divisions and state agencies
Promote activities and findings
Collaborate with Local Health Departments
Form partnerships to sustain the Lactation after Loss program
Work with external partners to ensure they have resources for program promotion
Present program abstracts and proposals
Analyze and evaluate best practices for bereavement care
Request data from epidemiologists
Create tools for community engagement
Coordinate day-to-day program activities
Attend training and meetings
Identify new partnership opportunities
Encourage cross-collaboration
Research and address disparities in bereavement supports
Champion an equity-driven approach to program improvement
Respond to requests from upper management
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
Knowledge of Indiana's public health system and fatality review processes
Ability to facilitate meetings, engage communities, and train large groups
Ability to develop educational materials
Knowledge of state and local health agencies
Ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Ability to evaluate and interpret data
Ability to maintain confidentiality with protected information
Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate with a team
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred :
Experience in public health programs or similar roles
Understanding of bereavement care and support
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
