Organization Overview:

Partner and Product Enablement (PPE) is part of American Express Network and Acquirer Solutions. The team is primarily responsible for customer setups between their network and the American Express network, certifications (host authorizations, submissions, product, terminal, etc.). Our main customers are merchants, processors, network issuers, acquirers, and vendors. The mission of PPE is to ensure our business partners can successfully transact with the American Express Network according to American Express specifications, rules, and regulations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize our relationships with external suppliers and service providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration. This role involves coordinating with various departments to select vendors, signing NDAs, negotiating contracts, ensuring PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance, invoicing, and ensuring vendor performance meets company standards.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure adherence to Amex policies.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams globally to identify vendor requirements.

  • Monitor vendor contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to streamline processes.

  • Prepare and analyze reports on vendor performance, and other key metrics.

  • Issue invoices, ensure payments are made on a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.

  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or related role.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in procurement or vendor management (desired, but not required).

  • PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standards knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
