Basic Job Functions:
Verco Decking Inc. is seeking candidates for a HR Generalist. The role of the HR Generalist includes coordination and execution of division payroll and HR activities. This includes but is not limited to weekly payroll; management of timesheet system; assisting teammates with payroll related changes; maintaining personnel/benefit files; reporting weekly state and federal taxes, as well as monthly/quarterly/annual division and corporate reports.
The role will be responsible for job posting, the onboarding/termination processing, administer benefits, including open enrollment and FMLA, and affirmative action plan development and reporting. The HR Generalist will process documentation and prepare reports/presentations related to HR activities, manage the details of situations and information that is confidential or of a critical nature, and be responsible for prioritizing and managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate\'s degree with 3 years of Human Resource experience
- Experience with payroll processing
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
Preferences:
- Experience with CA employment policies
- Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Experience in manufacturing or steel industry
