Marcum LLP is seeking a Tax Manager with Real Estate industry expertise to join our growing and well-established national firm in Philadelphia. The position requires an experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.The Real Estate Group offers a wide range of financial, tax and accounting services tailored to meet the specific needs of the real estate industry. These services are client customized to satisfy the requirements of the real estate investor ranging from the individual real estate owner through the largest global institutional investor. Our extensive knowledge of the real estate industry combined with our expertise in the leading real estate software packages ensures that our clients maximize the value of their real estate holdings.

Responsibilities: Review real estate partnership/corporate returns Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff Experience in working with REITs Perform research and draft memoranda on real estate issues Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work Make suggestions to help improve efficiencies, within department and on engagements Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate interest and knowledge of client's business

Qualifications: Minimum 7 years solid experience in Real Estate Tax BS and/or Masters in Accounting Must be a CPA or JD Superb communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Excellent organizational and analytical skills Able to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically Strong tax research skills Strong accounting and analytical skills Thorough understanding of complex technical issues Decisively executes solutions to problems
