Equisoft Inc. Senior Functional Developer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

 

Equisoft Inc. seeks Senior Functional Developer in Philadelphia, PA: Work closely with a diversified team consisting of a project manager, a business analyst, a team lead, developers and quality assurance specialists. Implement the ideal solution(s) through the creation and management of product and/or system configuration; Collaborate with business owners, configuration team, technical team and business analysts to ensure alignment of the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration ("OIPA") system and business rules with the intent to achieve the desired system behavior; Research and evaluate business needs and system capabilities integrating project, service and technical requirements to create optimal OIPA business solutions while maximizing configuration and functionality within the system; Perform detailed estimates, high-level and detailed level designs, and sprint planning; Mentor team members in OIPA best practices for OIPA product set-up, configuration development, and release management; Perform code reviews of configuration; Perform product set-up, configuration development, and release management for the OIPA system; Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies; Analyze and resolve complex and critical problems to maintain data integrity, process integrity, and system performance; Assist with Sales Cycles (including but not limited to) requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), proof of concepts ("POCs"), Demos, and Discoveries; Provide input and collaborate with the Training Coordinator to create/enhance training curriculum; and, Conduct customer training on OIPA user interface and/or Rules Studio.

 

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalent and one (1) year of experience in the job offered. In lieu of a Master's degree, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalent plus six (6) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered. Knowledge of: Life and/or annuities products; SQL tools, My SQL, SQL Server, TOAD, Oracle Designer, XML, XSLT, CSS, Microsoft Visual Studio, Visio, RITS, JIRA, e-WAM, Crystal Reports, OOP, OOAD, Image Right, PrintSoft; IT projects within the insurance industry context. National and international travel required up to 25% of the time. Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy.
