Robert Half Senior Accountant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic client in the Philadelphia market. In the role of Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and validity of our financial data, providing assistance with essential reporting processes, and lending your support to our larger accounting team to help meet our objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Create and review monthly budget-to-actual reports, offering thorough explanations for any variances.

  • Conduct account reconciliations and maintain accuracy in the general ledger.

  • Oversee monthly and annual close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries for payroll, investment activities, and allocations.

  • Assist with audits and tax preparation, providing necessary financial data and support.

  • Reconcile revenue and pledges from multiple sources to ensure accurate and consistent recordkeeping.

  • Process and review employee expense reports, corporate card transactions, and stipends.

  • Serve as backup for payroll management and accounts payable functions.

  • Verify appropriate documentation and correct coding for all financial transactions.

  • Support grants accounting, donor disbursements, and contract invoicing procedures.

    Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or Master's degree in Accounting preferred.

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:

  • 7+ years experience; accounting base but the ability to manage analytic functions as well

  • Experience with fund accounting software

  • Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization tools

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

  • Proven ability to perform under deadlines, to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
