Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Network Engineer 3 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Develop practices and procedures for network installation, maintenance and operation; automate configuration and tasks using Ansible; write code using Python to develop and implement test and acceptance criteria for network elements; schedule equipment activations, customer-affecting network maintenance develops documents of customer networks for network users; meet with potential customers, design solutions, work with vendors on pricing and implements solutions that are adaptable to customer need changes; exercise judgment during incident management, site design, network configuration and network activation to ensure efficient use of funds and time; design network site planning for multiple regional network sites; develop and maintain network element documentation and inventory; maintain appropriate inventory or network spare equipment for rapid restoration; order, track and report on all internal and external wired and wireless connection activation activities; and develop cost proposal documents. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing practices and procedures for network installation, maintenance and operation; writing code using Python to develop and implement test and acceptance criteria for network elements; of which one (1) year includes automating configuration and tasks using Ansible.*
