AmeriHealth Caritas relies heavily on Citrix for productivity, with around 6000 daily users. We seek a skilled leader to manage Citrix product strategy, oversee operations, and lead the engineering team. The ideal candidate will provide both strategic insight and operational expertise to enhance our Citrix investment and usage across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Define and sustain Citrix product strategies and roadmaps.
Ensure that capacity, availability, and performance service level objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
Always maintain security standards and requirements.
Oversee the performance of the Citrix platform engineering team, including setting objectives, balancing workloads, managing quality, and planning team and individual performance.
Develop, document, and enforce standards and controls to ensure the integrity of the Citrix environment; identify opportunities to standardize, enhance, and automate existing processes.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide advanced technical consulting to internal teams for solution design, system management, tuning, and modification of solutions.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and issues related to Citrix and affiliated systems.
Act as the third-level escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, engaging in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Citrix and related systems.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications / Education:
Eight to ten (8-10) years of experience in Information Technology, including five (5) years in a managerial role.
Extensive experience (8-10 years) in deploying and managing large Citrix environments with over 6000 concurrent users, including expertise in Citrix technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402 or later, Citrix NetScaler, Web Interface/StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning and Machine Creation Services (MCS), App-V Integration, Citrix App Layering, Citrix Workspace Environment Manager, and FSLogix.
Proven experience as a Citrix engineer or architect, responsible for roadmap design, assessments, architecture planning, implementation, and upgrades/migrations of Citrix solutions.
Proficiency in working with thin client devices such as Dell Wyse, iGel, and Chromebook.
In-depth understanding of architectural dependencies related to Citrix technologies.
Experience with Windows Server OS, VMware ESX-based virtualized server infrastructure, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies.
Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance, or productivity.
Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail and excellent judgment skills.
Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
Capability to prioritize tasks and drive results with a strong emphasis on quality.
Competence in identifying and implementing industry best practices.
Ability to translate complex technical information into comprehensible business language.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Experience with Citrix Xen Desktops Technologies:o Expertise in managing these core Citrix products is essential - Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) o Citrix Backend Platform with PVS serviceso Knowledge of Citrix's cloud-based solutionso Non-Persistent and Persistent Desktopo Citrix Profile Management – FSLogix and Profileso App-V (Microsoft Product) for publishing virtualization applicationso NetScaler Configurationso Control-Upo IGEL Device Managemento Enterprise Browser
Windows 10/11, IGEL, Office 365 & Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Azure AD, and hybrid cloud concepts.
Knowledge of modern security principles (zero trust, conditional access, etc.).
ITIL Foundations v3/4 certification.
One or more certifications: CCEE, CCP-V, CCE-V, CCP-N.
