Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Driver License Examiner Assistant (Lawndale) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of your role, you will directly interact with customers to verify their identification, assist with completing application forms, and input information into the online driver license application software. You will also be responsible for conducting standardized knowledge tests to assess applicants' understanding of driving laws, the vehicle code, and traffic control devices. Additionally, you will perform vision screenings using a tele binocular instrument to assess visual acuity for all applicants. Data entry of applicant test results and customer applications into online software systems will be done using a PC terminal. It is crucial to strictly adhere to the customer service policy of Driver and Vehicle Services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires overtime and travel. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public. Legal Requirements: This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
